TDS-8S Top Drive Spare Parts Lower/Upper IBOP Valve NOV IBOP PH-100
IBOP for top drive drilling systems can be classified into Upper IBOP and Lower IBOP. They function as control valves used in conjunction with the top drive system and are typically installed as a pair connected to the top drive drilling equipment. The IBOP uses a highly reliable metal sealing structure, allowing it to withstand both high upward and downward pressures. Its working pressure can reach 10,000 psi or 15,000 psi.
The valve body bore and all internal components are specially treated to enhance corrosion resistance, ensuring long service life. In the event of a well kick, the Upper IBOP can be closed via remote control, while the Lower IBOP is closed manually. The actuator for the top drive is an auxiliary device responsible for controlling the opening and closing of the Upper IBOP. It operates in coordination with other rig accessories to enable remote operation of the Upper IBOP.
